Here is a tip for young musicians looking to start their own band: Do NOT start your band name with “The”. Bands that use the word “The” at the beginning of their names do so because they think it is different. News flash, it’s not different….and it sucks, like your music. You know the type, these guys walking around in girl-pants, sometimes with makeup on. CUT YOUR HAIR CRYBABY!!! What is with the pants? Why on earth would you wear girl-pants? Is that different to? It’s not.
Here is a list of bands that are no good (notice they start with “The”):
- The Strokes
- The Hives
- The Pixies
- The Fray
Here is a list of bands that don’t suck:
- Coldplay
- Def Leppard
- Foghat
- Boston
If you will notice, the bands that don’t suck do not have “The” in the name. Do you see the correlation? Also, their music doesn’t get old; something to think about.
